# Mathieu Lescaudron

> French senior full-stack developer and solutions architect based in Vancouver, Canada (open to remote, any timezone). 13 years of building and running software across 5 countries: France, New Zealand, Cambodia, Australia, Canada. Bilingual English/French. Currently the contract engineer on UpMatch, a client's multi-tenant SaaS with 90 paying freelancers and $40-50K MRR: he built the platform from an empty repository and is the only engineer on it.

## Who I am

- From France, started as a network technician apprentice at Orange in Lyon, moved into software (Symfony, then Node.js/TypeScript/React).
- DevOps engineer in Auckland, New Zealand: CI/CD for a 40-developer team, cut $8K/month from the AWS bill with no service regression.
- Solutions architect and project manager in Phnom Penh, Cambodia: led a 3-developer team building Ship24, a package-tracking platform ingesting real-time events from 1,000+ couriers (millions of parcels/month), and grew monetization from $0 to $12K/month in 8 months.
- Freelance solutions architect (Melbourne and remote): 20+ contracts across 3 continents on Upwork with a 5.0 rating; built an API scaffolding library that cut delivery time ~40%.
- Solutions architect at Amazon (Alexa, Paris): owned integration, launch and 24/7 operation of consumer voice experiences for France, Italy and Spain; built Node.js tooling that saved 100+ engineering days/year and was used weekly by 40+ solutions architects.
- Now in Vancouver: since Nov 2025, contract engineer on UpMatch (90 paying freelancers, $40-50K MRR, bids ~5 min after a job posts). The founder's team had been bidding by hand; I built the platform from an empty repository and they brought the whole operation onto it. It's a client's product; I'm the only engineer on it. Also StoreAI (product URL to finished Shopify store in under 60 seconds). Former co-founder & CTO of cica.ai (AI compliance agents for construction). Data Scientist master's (OpenClassrooms, 2024) and a published Edge Impulse case study on visual anomaly detection deployed to SageMaker Serverless.
